About the Company:
Our client is a leading travel and tours company based in Oman, operating in the hospitality and tourism industry. We are seeking an experienced and qualified Accounts Executive to join their team in Khasab.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and organized Accounts Executive to manage the financial aspects of our business. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and analyzing financial data to inform business decisions.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
* Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
* Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
* Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
* Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations in Oman and UAE
* Maintain proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle Financials, and other industry-specific software
* Provide financial support to management in decision-making processes
* Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is an advantage
* Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and Oman/UAE tax laws and regulations
* Proficiency in accounting software, including Excel or other spreadsheet software
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Attention to detail and ability to work accurately with numbers
* Familiarity with the tourism industry and its unique accounting considerations
